I didn't make it to the meeting yesterday - I got an upset tummy and hot flashes and felt just like crap, so I stopped by my mom's house and crashed.  Slept until 1:00!  So sorry that I missed the meeting....not sure what was wrong with me, I feel alright today, thank God ( Read more... )

Today is our Region 2 Council of Catholic Women general meeting; we are hosting it here at St. Lawrence.  I've already dropped off my Creamy Jello Salad.  I get to be an altar server at Mass.  Our speaker today is Marlene, a parishioner from Sts. It's another stinking hot day in the Ozarks.  We are heading for the pool around noon and will hang out for a few hours.  Then at 4:30, my hair will make a disappearing act.  I am getting it CHOPPED OFF.  It's too hot to mess with.  It's not too long but it's wild.  Maybe, Melissa will be able to talk me out of chopping it off, if she can style it ( Read more... )

 Well yesterday afternoon was our conference with the principal and I must say that dh and I were totally disappointed in her.  Her reaction was one of mainly "We can't be everywhere, knowing what is going on or what is being said by all children."

She was defensive and showed no empathy.

This is the first day this week that I haven't had to go anywhere or do anything special. Not that I'm complaining, mind you....

Monday was the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks blood drive. It was a huge success! We had at least 37 donors come in and of those 37, only 3 were refused for various reasons. We'll get the final numbers next week.
